: : for now we take away the phone and internet access. it doesnt' seem to work. i recently got my phone bill and found many long distance calls made on the computer line!!!!!!! she knew it was wrong, but did it anyway. she now has to work off the cost of the bill. she gets $5 per hour to do chores. i find yucky ones to do (clean the cat box, mop the floors, scrub bathtubs, etc). she never actually touches the cash, she simply gets credits towards her bill. for each undone chore or complaint she loses another privelage.
: : none of this works 100%, but it helps. teens are going to be teens, we can't shut them up all the time (no matter how much we want to). we can only mark the days on the calendar until they go off to college! LOL
