No, it's not internal....

no, but I will try it. I tried "iomega findit" and it totally froze my system up (even ctr/alt/del didn't work, had to turn power off)

That's what this is...

Yep, I think so.....like I said, worked fine on the other puter...
does the computer know it's there????

no, that's the problem...how do I tell it?
