The only reason I know why this would be happening is that perhaps you have updated your old netscape? It has happened to me ...after upgrading my netscape it told me it couldnt find my old preferences and I had no choice other than to start all over again. However, after it was installed I went to windows explorer..located my bookmarks and old preferences and copied them into my old one.....to hopefully stop this happening again you will need to watch which folder netscape wants to put the new upgrade into beofe okaying it.
