Chocolate Spritz Cookies
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 T. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 t. salt
Cream shortening and sugar well. Beat in
egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir in melted
chocolate. Sift flour and salt together and
gradually add to other ingredients. Press
onto an ungreased cookie sheet using the
scotty dog or camel plate. Add one silver
nonpariel for an eye. Bake at 375°F
for 8 - 10 minutes. Makes 3 - 4 dozen.
