HONEY-DROPS COOKIES

1 c. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1/3 c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda

Mix butter, brown sugar and eggs thoroughly. Stir in
honey and vanilla. Sift together flour and soda; stir in.
Chill until firm, several hours. Roll into balls size of large
walnuts. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, until when lightly
touched almost no imprint remains. Cool; put together with any
kind of jam in center (1 cookie, jam, cookie).

CREAM CHEESE COOKIE PRESS COOKIES
(These Are A Favorite Christmas Cookie)

2 sticks butter, slightly
softened
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese,
slightly softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add egg yolk and
vanilla. Add flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Press with
cookie press onto clean, cool cookie sheets. If the dough is
too soft, it may be refrigerated for a little while. Bake at
350 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes, until edges brown slightly. Don't let
the children (or the cook) taste the dough or there won't be
any cookies.

LEMON CHEESE COOKIE PRESS COOKIES

1 c. butter or oleo
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. flour

Blend butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and beat until
smooth and creamy. Add lemon juice and egg. Mix in dry
ingredients. Chill dough for several hours or overnight. Put
dough in cookie press and put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake
at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until bottom of cookie starts to
brown.

CHOCOLATE COOKIES
(These Work Well In A Cookie Press)

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 sq. (1 oz.) unsweetened
chocolate, melted
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

In medium bowl cream shortening; gradually add sugar,
creaming well. Beat in egg, chocolate, milk, vanilla and salt.
Gently, but thoroughly, stir in flour. Put through cookie
press or drop by level teaspoonfuls 1-inch apart on ungreased
cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 375 degrees oven 8 to 10 minutes or
until crisp. Makes 75. Per cookie: 45 cal, 1 g pro, 5 g car,
3 g fat, 3 mg chol.

JELLO COOKIES

4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. any flavor
Jell-O
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour with baking powder. Cream butter; add sugar
and Jell-O, creaming well after each addition. Add egg and
vanilla, beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing until
smooth.
For really pretty cookies, use cookie press. For really
easy cookies, roll into balls (1 teaspoon each) and flatten
slightly (a meat mallet works well and is fast). Bake at 350 degrees
for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown on the bottom.

PRESSED BUTTER COOKIES
(Good For Christmas)

1 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour

Can add a few drops of food coloring.
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks and vanilla, then beat well. Blend in flour.
Place dough in cookie press. Press desired shapes on an
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Decorate
with colored sugar, etc.

SOUR CREAM COOKIES

1 c. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add cream, vanilla and eggs.
Sift dry ingredients. Add to mixture. Put through a cookie
press. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet just until edges
are brown.

KISS COOKIES

1 1/4 c. butter softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/4 c. flour
1 (14 oz.) pkg. chocolate
kisses

Cream butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour. Spoon down into cookie
press. Press cookie onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees
for 10 minutes. Then press one kiss in center.

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar

Mix together and add:
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 egg
If you use a cookie press, use 1/4 cup less flour.
Otherwise roll in ball and press down with fork. Bake at 350 degrees
until done.
