CARAMEL APPLE PIE

1 (9-inch) pie shell
3 tsp. water
5 large apples
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
30 caramels
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Melt caramels in water. Peel and core apples. Slice
half of apples in pie shell. Cover with half of caramel sauce.
Repeat. Mix flour, spices, sugar and butter until crumbly.
Stir in nuts. Sprinkle mixture over pie. Bake at 375 degrees for 45
minutes.
