Posted by Dee on August 07, 1999 at 18:01:45:I was tea dying some muslin so I could make a teddy bear for 1 of my neices. I wasn't getting the dark color I wanted so I added some instant coffee crystals to my hot tea water(removed my muslin first). VIOLA!!!
I got the darker brown color I wanted.
I was using 4 family size tea bags to a quart of hot water. I added a rounded tablespoon of instant coffee.
