My sil gave me this: she took a large mason jar with lid, and stuffed a small string of lights (any type will do, but I like multicolored the best, white is nice too) into the jar. She then filled the jar with potpourri...mine is rose scented, because she knows I love rose scent, however, she made others with different scents, Christmas tree scent is a nice one. She put the lid on,and covered it with an inexpensive small doilie with a colored ribbon woven through it and tied. You take the lid off, pull the cord out for the lights, plug it in, put the doilie back on...its SO beautiful, AND, the warmth from the lights brings out the potpourri smell..its divine! You could probably make seasonal ones...red lights for valentines day, orange lights for Halloween I guess...

You can freshen up potpourri easily. Just spread it out on a paper plate and put it in the micro-wave for 10-15 seconds. You might have to experiment with the time, it depends on how much you put in at a time.
