I was thinking of what to give my nieces and nephews for Xmas that was cheap and struck on giving them a gift of homemade playdough. Cooked playdough is the best to make as it has the best shelf life. I will wrap it in cellophane after I give them some made in Xmas colors along with some cookie cutters in the shape of Xmas trees etc.....get the idea?? If you would like the recipe email me or I will post it later perhaps. Any other inexpensive ideas would be appreciated.
Merry Christmas

This one is simple and could actually be COSTLESS!! depending on what you have in your closet. All children like to play dress up sooner or later......yes even little boys dress up too......how else would we get knights and cowboys?
Here's what you do:
First, get a large gift box (like a coat or bulky sweater box). you can either wrap the top and bottom seperately or you can decorate it with paints and glitter and other appropriate stuff.
Then....fill the box with dress up clothes and accessories.......pick a theme.....princess, knight, cowboy, cowgirl....etc...
For a princess I suggest an old prom or bridesmaid dress.....an unused pair of high heels.....beads.....braceletts and anything else gaudy and glitzy would work for this one.
For a Knight you could pick up a plastic chest shield and sword at any toy store/dept. add a pair of boots and a cape (an old blanket tied at the top is a great and easy way to get a cape).
for a cow boy or girl.....a bandana....boots....hat.....guns......etc.....
You get the idea?
if you are anything like me you have a closet full of clothes you never wear and shoes that mysteriously appeared.......have fun and watch their little faces shine when they get their own "treasure box"
