Posted by Dee on August 02, 1999 at 10:53:40:I found this in a 1982 Crafts mag. & thought it would be soooooooo cute in a little girls room.
Cut 6- 10"x12"ovals out of coordinating material. Makes 3 balloons.
With right sides facing, place 2 fabric pieces with quilt batting on top & sew using a 1/4"seam allowance. Leave an opening for turning @ the bottom.
Turn & slip stitch the opening closed. Use ribbon, cording ect.... & glue to the back bottom of each balloon. Bring the ends together & tie. Hang this on the wall & attach a basket to the wall covering the ends of the ribbon ect.
Place small dolls or stuffed animals in the basket. They look like they are having a balloon ride!!!!!
